So in my life science classes, we are looking at the various views of the origin of life. Essentially, we are looking at evolution and creation.
To be able to teach this, I needed to brush up on some of my knowledge (yes, I know what I believed, but I needed a refresher on the specific details). Thus, I've been online researching, reading, watching videos... etc.
I just watched a video that got me super fired up! GRRR (yes, I just growled!). Please allow me to go on a brief rant:
I HATE that evolutionists look at creationists and think we're some kind of religious fanatics! This particular video essentially said that any and all creationists are idiots and don't understand how science works..... oh yeah, you know that is really what got my blood to boil.
It just irks me so much that they can't see past their own biases to admit that believing in evolution takes as much faith as believing in creation. YOU CAN'T SCIENTIFICALLY PROVE EITHER ONE BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT. If you could prove evolution, then it wouldn't still be called a theory, would it?!? Yes, you can find evidence... but it is only evidence that supports a particular view.
Aye, aye, aye... I could go on about this, but this was good enough to calm me down a bit.
A real update will be coming soon... in the meanwhile, please keep my life science class and students in your pryrs as we talk about the origin of life. I want them to see TRUTH, but not to have it forced down their throats. I want them to be able to look at both views in an unbiased light and make their own decision about what they believe, and then have the ability to support that belief with reasoning. Hopefully they will pick TRUTH, but that will be up to them.
Thanks!
